recently www.overclockaholics.com (http://www.overclockaholics.com) had a 3DMark 01 Low Clock Challenge for both single card and dual card setups. it was a tough battle but thanks to the help of my kingpincooling.com Tek9 4.0 Slim, i was able to win the single card competition with an Intel X58 setup and a single GTX260. i have a solid GTX260 that doesn't mind running at -140C and with the Tek9 4.0, it was no problem holding those temps right through Nature in 01. k|ngp|n has always said that once you load these units up, they hold load really well...i finally witnessed that for myself this past weekend. anyway, here are some photos of the setup that i used to win...

insulation first...

down to -35C on CPU, -140C on GPU, and 13.33K Ohms for OCP mod...

thanks guys...and the best part, i have a brand spankin new F1 EE sitting at home waiting for me to get out of the sticks and back into my benching lab. it will be quite a step up from the Rev3 MMouse unit i have been using all this time. goodbye swing-city p:D

Come on, MickeyMouse made some good pots for their time, don't bash him so hard :D

no where was i bashing his pots, the Rev3 pot is great, and i have learned to work it quite well over the years...but the fact of the matter is there is heavy swing under load. the base is very thin and when an i7 with HT hits the CPU tests in 06 or vantage, you get big swings.

i never said it was a bad thing because with a thin base, it is easy to let temps come up just as easily and very easy to maintain temps. there is a lot of work involved in getting that pot to work well...but i didn't say that was a bad thing, just a nice change to get rid of the swings involved with the Rev3's design.
