I've got an SR-2 board that I just got and I'm having a problem with it. Ghost_recon88 sent me here for some help.
It won't load an OS (except for 1 time, just long enough to activate windows vista ult) with both cpus installed. Each one works fine by itself.
Turns out one is Revision A0, the other is B1.
Can these work together, or do I need to get another B1 X5675?

Thanks  .
I should mention that it will help me if someone has a definitive answer.
If they will not work together, the person I got the A0 chip from is willing to take it back. But if it will work, I'd rather not send it back.
Plus, I'll need to pick up another one, and I'd rather not spend the money I've got set aside for it.

Sorry. Just been dealing with this for a week now, and I'm feeling bad about having the guy I got the A0 from hang onto the money and not be able to use it in case I need to return it.

maybe possible but may be tough for bios to crack this, i think big problem is they use different Memory reference code, just like westmere and gainstown

So, I would need to get someone to write a custom bios to try and address this, with no guarantee of success. :(
Thank you for letting me know what is going on. Looks like I might get more than 2-3 hours of sleep tonight (been up late just about every night this week trying to get it to work).
Now I just need to find another x5675 that I can afford.
Thanks again Shammy! I really appreciate your help!
