Hi to all,
As in the title also for me is difficult to set my dominator kit on M4E.
First of all I've tried G.Skill 2133 7-10-7 and works fine.
With dominator i've tried some different setup, but the problem is still the same, booting @ 2133 8-8-8-24 1t I can run S-Pi 1mb but not 32mb, freeze at 2nd loop. vDram 1.8v, VCCIO 1.25v. Bios 1485
Tried to set manually 8-8-8-24 1t, 9-9-9-24 1t, with xmp and sub auto, with xmp and sub as Andre settings posted in other thread, and also with optimized default changing only dram multi and voltage. memory boost on and off etc etc.
I've had same problem on a Gigabyte Z68 UD4 B3, hoping to solve with M4E, can you help me? I need a good setup to take profit from my 5.8Ghz+ 2600k
Thnx in advance for your time

You won't run it on 2133MHz, you need damn good hyper set to run them on SB platform. I had the same problems, couldn't run cmg2000c8 no matter what voltage, put gtx2 and no problems with them. Same goes for ocz blade 2000c7 and cmg2000c7, no problems with them on SB

I've a pair of perfectstorm 2000 c7, 1st hyper, i'll try them :(

ya i have some Mushkin 998750's that won't boot on 2133 no matter what the voltage or settings are either.

Nothing also with old Hyper, 2133 8-8-8 similar to cmg 2000 c8 in dual channel. Tried also single channel, bios timings set manually to 2133 8-8-8 became 2133 6-6-6 in Win from Cpu-z
BTW, I'll try later with 1866 7-7-6
Last dubt, do you think that putting them under LN2 could help to reach 2133 or not?

My cmg were able to run 2260 C8 on 1.65v, but they were unable to run 2000C7 on 1.7-1.75v. GTX2 runs 2100 7-7-6 on 1.65v, so you can imagine what kind of sets you would need for it. That is on X58, on p67 gtx2 needs 1.7v for 2133 7-7-7,
I could run 8-8-8 2133 with one stick, but with two no way, even with 9-9-9.
LN2 COULD help, but you never know. Maybe some very high voltage + ln2 really could help, but if you don't try you'll never know

I'll try next week, with LN2 and 1.8/1.85v. Thnx

I think you'll have to use higher, as 1.8v didn't worked for me (on air) with cmg2000c8

It can be done with the right modules:
http://imageshack.us/m/860/6121/mive32m5734.jpg
Corsair Dominator GT 8-8-8-24 DDR3-2200 Rev 2.1 @ 1.65V on the MIVE.
When the CPU is clocked high you will have to fiddle with "BCLK Skew" and also DQ and CMD/ADDR Vref - I use 0.495 for both channels. Do not increase VCCIO too far - I only use 1.075V for these speeds.

Thnx Raja, I'll try also this tips, but i'm quite sure the problem is hyper's quality, almost all 2200 c8 kit works, more or less, instead only some 2000 c8 kit works. BTW I like to try ;)

No way to run them 2133, so I decided to try under Cascade to reach best timings for Pi 1Mb at lower multi.
This is what I reached with "home made" aluminium plate to hold Ram stick to Evaporator

wow! How about some 32M action?

Well, my priority was Pi 1Mb, bacause of the best efficiency on P67 at high ram frequency against low timings for 32Mb Pi. BTW next step will be a comparison at fixed cpu frequency between Dominator 9xx 5-6-5 and G.skill 11xx 7-10-7 @32Mb Pi. Maybe this evening

That CAS 5 is very impressive. Looking forward to your results.

Thnx Raja, a couple of test to solve some doubts and than I'll put on Dominance and LN2 ;)

As I supposed on P67 frequency is too important against timings

No way to run dominator with S-Pi 32Mb, Its a dominator killer bench.
BTW, next step will be to cold G.skill
Just for fun I tried also this

Did you manage any 32M at all? I suppose it will kick the bw down somewhat. I don't often get impressed with cold stuff, but I like what you've done here as it's a little outside the box. :)

With dominator the only way to get a 32Mb is to relax timings and frequencies, like 1600 8-8-8. I'm waiting for LN2, and so have some time to spend, also for me was first time with memory sub-zero. Now the last stuff will be to try g.skill sub-zero, I hope in a 6-9-6 @ 2200 to increase 32Mb efficiency. No way to hold them to evaporator's plate like dominator, I'll think up something this evening

Yeah I did the Gskill heatspreaders with some cable ties, it was a bit "dirty" but worked quite well.

I've had good luck on SuperPi 32 with both the Dominator GTX3s and my old Cas7 2000mhz sticks. but teh Cas8 2000mhz sticks totally sucked!
I had 1 stick of the Cas7 go bad and heard that Corsair was sending the Cas8 as replacements, so I called Corsair and they agreed to take the 1 bad stick back and send me 3 of the Cas8 in return. So if you're good old Cas7s die - make the call before you RMA :D

Hi, just registered to say that i have the same problem with my Dominator 2000C8, 1866 nor 2133 will run SPi32m.
But under this its all fine.
Here is some testing, i did that for a Axeram Challenge, and i won.
The rules was 45x and no BCLK limit, 1333mhz strap.
Run at:
2500k @ 45x106mhz
1.37vcore
1,65v RAm
Aircooled
