Hello
anybody have any mods for this Graphics card? Seems to have some potential but CB and CBB are killing me. Not sure if the regular GTX580 DCU2 BIOS will work. Any help would be appreciated you'll

Hahaha, no man seriously. I'm failing here :( And I have huge hopes for this VGA.
I don't know where else to ask and I know you'll here have access to secret things and all that :p
Can't review this kind of VGA on Air, that'd be just sad

no, its not ... because vbios has 128k, M580_PU5 is not vbios, but something else ... :) it must be voltage related, because on photos are impossible voltages without any mod or something ...

PS. I want that hack, or soft for higher voltages ... card is already insulated, but awaiting for vmod possibilities ...

if is Andre here, have question: Its possible store in first bios "classic matrix bios" and in second one "cold bios"? and switch between them? by the Safe Mode button maybe?

You can flash cold slow bios to default and safe mode bios is normal bios.

ok, i tryed a classic VID mod for 0,2V for GPU its enough for me, with buttons and soft i can reach 1,47V ... but VID mod is not working, any help with hardmod here?

PS. i tryed it with 1.28V and full fatty pot, 3d Mark 11 stable at 1350/1250! This card has real potential! We need that hack!

PS2. I dont understand Asus here. If i received special GTX 580 for Ocers from MSI, Gigabyte ... in email i always had modding manual + special unlocked software, this is products for ocers and MSI and Giga wants to advertise them by this way. Asus skrew it many times. No software, no BIOS, no Modding guide ... only Andre on forum teasing us ... :) Shgame for you Asus ... PS memories on this monster are really CRAP! 4450 MHz on air is like from cheapest GTX 570 ... the same has on TechpowerUp too. It looks like pre-release samples in the wild now ...

OBR_CZ I completely agree with you. I've since given up on this card as it's not worth the bother to ultimately get less than what you can with a DirectCUII :(
I'm sure many people here will get the right software/BIOS but for Joe average overclocker you're screwed. I'd imagine there are more Joe averages than the VIPs and herein is the fail. Situation may change going forward, but as it is it's much like buying a V-Spec GTR but limiting it to 300BHP and top end 90mph :/
