Sad history is that my GTX580 referent died during 4-Way, one mosfet blew up and later second, PWM was dead (0,02v on GPU) so I had no choice ;)

I am bad modder, my soldering abilities are as weak as they can be but I managed to connect EPOWER! So if I could do it - everyone CAN!!! even Gradmas

After EPOWER connection my GTX580 is ALIVE!!!, now I have to check vdroop and I guess I will have to add some capacitors to stabilize vcore.

Many thanks to TiN and Kingpin and of course EVGA

Excellent work, that looks very clean. I love how you mounted it to the card, very cool.

How do you get one? lol.

Thx my friend ;)

I got one from TiN (EVGA)

Nice addict. Glad to see it worked out for you. These should be available very soon..

Mmm, you can do better connection. For monster like GF110 those wires are not enough, and wire length is too big to have any serious benching ;)

I used direct soldering EPOWER edge to PCB before, it was best method to reach lowest droop.

Not best shot to show, but you can see, that EPOWER soldered by chunks of solder to videocard power plane. It's easy because 580 PCB have all inductor pads in straight line.

So while using UT - rule number one, two and three: keep wires short and as many as possible ;) Everything rest is easy.

TiN when looking at the PCB for the UT there's an empty spot where another 6 pin plug would go, could you just solder that on? And when using UT do you need the power plugs on the card powered? Or can all power be through the UT?

Thanks.

All power can be used from UT, but because of VGA onboard sense curcuitry for "cable presence" you need to have power cable to VGA connectors too.

Of course you can disable sense curcuitry and force VGA always on, but that's more work than just pop stock chokes and connect cables. VGA PWM will be anyway in shutdown mode due to "critical fault".

:) I am aware of that, it was jut a test if VGA can be still alive. I have to buy better copper cables for future zombies  but I am glad it works. I only need 1150 MHz GPU on it

Nice pics here, and good to see that you're 580 comes back to live.

Thx guys :)

Added some capacitors today (low esr of course), it helped a bit with vdroop :) Card does 1150 GPU 1200 MEM in 3DMark 11, the same as before PWM failure so I am happy. It was my goal to accomplish 4-Way action at 1150 MHz GPU ;) But TiN is right about cables, next time I will buy some good copper and I will do them shorter. But all in all I am very satisfied with the result, cause even with old cables from noname PSU my card is back and overclocks perfectly for 4-Way action

TiN, any idea if it'd be possible to connect 2 Untouchables to a dual pcb GTX 295? I was curious about that.

yes, that works to, Tin had also 2 UT on GTX590
