Was having problems getting my memory stable (blue screen memory management error) but I think I figured that issue out (loaded Hynix 4x4GB tight profile). Memory is G.Skill RipjawsZ 16GB (4x4GB) 2400Mhz CL11.

Also was wondering if the Rampage IV Extreme overclock guides (posted by Raja) apply to the Gene? Just can't find much info/threads/guides on the Gene.

Does it make a difference stability wise overclocking on the 100 or 125 strap? Is any specific one better? I have read that some have better results on the 125 strap

yes, oc guide is for all R4 series.

starp 125 provide more memory devides. It doesnt affect performance and stability.

give thiaphoon burner a go. it allows you to make any ram compatible or take lessor ram and run it higher. i was able to flash my 1600 mhz ram up to 2133 then i was able to over clock it up to 2300 from there. benchable at like 2200+. give or take what i was doing.
