Well, here we are in the New Year and the only good thing about being stuck offshore is that I'm not nursing a massive hang over!!
Saw this as I checked my mail, etc. this morning and can't help myself for posting it here as this is the "Unofficial Home" of eVGA and Mr. Shamino.
All I can say is I WANT ONE!!! PLEASE!!!!!

Already finish testing the power regulation, 8 x 50A = 400A spec. Ran it at 250A 2.0v efficiency was ~ 85%. transient between 120A to 250A is just 30mv ripple with droop off. Has 8 Tantalum Capacitors behind the front MLCCs. Tried soldering more caps but ripple became worse.

ECC support?
I beleive it does.
Punx223
02-25-2010, 12:11 AM
xeon cpu's support ECC, and since they carry the mem controller.....
but ECC is kinda tricky thing, I have seen where some kits are fine, and others can have issues
And looks like i980X will be pure Xeon 56xx with just another name, thus having enabled both QPI's, if rumors about working two 980x's in W555 are true :D
