To help me launch the first of some new liquid nitrogen and dry ice memory cooler designs I'm working on, my friends over at CORSAIR have put up a BRAND NEW tripple channel set of GTX2 2250 DOMINATOR DDR3 to go along with one of my memory coolers for top prize. Top four runners up get memory cooler kits.
Contest is simple, top five lowest superpi 32m times win. It starts today and runs until March 9th 2010 midnight eastern standard time.
Only restriction is NO GULFTOWN or WESTMERE-EP CPU's, everything else goes..
Screenshot must be submitted to this thread before the contest deadline, and have the following: Finished run with CPUZ 1.53 windows for cpu, memory speed, AND motherboard and must use the attached background for this contest.
Good luck

That's a nice Corsair centric pot. I assume there will be other models down the line...
Clark's are WESTMERE's too. Are they allowed or not?

That's true, although I'd guess Vince means Westmere-EP and therefore Clarkdale is allowed...

You gotta step up man :p:
I benched my great A-data's DDR3-2000X on LN2 twice without any insulation on the DIMMs ( just on the mobo ).
That was a risk I took though.
Next time I'll go safe.
In case you can open up the DIMM's heatspreaders I'd spray the DIMMs with plastic spray, and then use liquid electrical tape or tape + armaflex or kneaded eraser on the PCB and leave only the top of the ICs ( RAM chips ) exposed, and then re-mount the heatspreaders.
In case you can't open up the heatspreaders I'd use vaseline, put lots of it on the exposed PCB, place the DIMMs upside down and heat up the vaseline with a hair dryer to make it flow inside under the heatspreaders.
In both cases you'll need to insulate the mobo appropriately too.
Tape up the unused DIMM slots, and put some kneaded eraser or just toilet paper / heavy duty kitchen paper in the gaps, and apply some dry vaseline on the DIMMs pins to insulate the contact area.

6-6-5 nick. They will hold that til about 940MHz and then I gotta go to 6-7-6 which is good (benchable) til about 980MHz without going over 1.70V (which I haven't done on them yet) :)

i think 05 03 is the big problem of 670 :up:These love tight timings (DomGT 7-8-7s). I wish this board had a CAS 5 option :D Secondaries can even be tightened up. I haven't tried any 3Ds yet really. I messed around with 01 on WC clocks a bit, but that's all so far. I'll get around to the rest when I get tired of 2Ds ;)
