Heading to the asus event this weekend and never taken my pots airborne

Is it better to carry them on or do they need to be checked. Obviously im thinking in the original box is the best way to go (with instructions for proof). I just dont want them to get stolen out of my luggage. Ive lost things before this way.

Thought I would see how you other guys do it

put it in checked luggage, have a print of of it being used for overclocking, so they can see what its for if your questioned

I normally put these in checked bags with my name and telephone written on them. Normally will give the guys at the scanner a heads up if they have any questions as well.

If you are really worried about your gear get a pelican case, a lock, and starting pistol. When you check the bag check it as a checked bag with a gun(starting pistol). You will have to unlock it show TSA whats in the case and everything should be fine. Then you will lock it back up and you will have the only key nobody else can open it. I know several photographers that do this with their photo gear.

You can always 2-3 day it to me since I live 10 minutes from Asus and I can drop it off on Friday night since I plan on hanging out with a few of the Pure n00bs

well I checked them and it was uneventful. I thought TSA didnt even check my checked bag but at the very bottom of the suitcase they left a brochure rofl :)

haha, yeah, i got a collection of those TSA checked bag slips.

my only advice, don't ship with brackets attached. i had bent mounting hardware on all but one tek9 because i had the mounting hardware attached to save time.

they weren't stored properly but i still didn't think they could get damaged...they did. just need new mounting hardware so no biggie, but had we needed them for the comp it might have sucked to try and straighten them.

I just waltz onto the plane with my pots. Coming back from the Asus event I carried 2 Tek9s, F1EE, and Koolance CPU-LN2. Security pulled me to swab them for explosives but no issues outside of a very talkative security person. Like GHZ said, Taipei was incredibly easy, they didn't even pull me over leaving the country and I was carrying eraser on the plane with me. Was quite shocked
