Me and sham ran vantage/03 @1200mhz+ 1.45v many many times on slim brother.
The smaller top on the older slims + a little diff tuning might be making things a little more dicey for u. You need to prepare the pots for benching properly before u start with gtx470/480
Use a torch (if possible on smaller opening of 5.0) on the internals of the pot -80 to -100c before u start benching ANYTHING. Then you will see something
