hey tin have you tried the following:

leaving on some inductors on VGA pad side to help reduce effect of wire length

parallel power (worked for a while but burnt up mosfets once and didnt wanna try again)

Did that with volterra VRMs.

Actually it is shown on photo above.

Paralleled two Volterra-based (1165MF + 3Ø 1195SF's on each). Worked ok for few days (didn't tested more). Interconnected Vout from inductors with AWG8 wire (you see that on photo). Feedback left native. It was 4870X2 power VRM.

I have a few dead G92 cards and a HD3850 with a dying/dead memory IC. Tonight I'm going to mod the HD3850 to power it up separately. All I need is +3.3v fed to the PWM IC, right?

edit: and of course +12vdc to actually step down through the mosfets

All you need is to put +3.3v and +12V base from PCI-E socket and push VR_enable if any on PWMs.

And what about this?



If we cut the PCB, how we make it to run? Only power it through PCI-E connector or? And how we push VR_enable?
