Exclamation Help! CPU coldbug drives me crazy!

Hey, everyone. I am Wei, I am a freshmen here, and in LN2 overclocking too. I try to pull my P4 651 to an extreme frequency, but coldbug bothers me .
For example, Sometimes coldbug is below -170 C, Sometimes coldbug is above -160 C. The VID gets higher, coldbug becomes higher too. Now I only get 459 X 17 = 7.8GHz at VID= 1.848V, about -165 C. http://valid.canardpc.com/show_oc.php?id=1316895

How to deal with the coldbug? Can Socket 775 be moded to past coldbug just like the Clarkdale? Please help!

Try higher volts. And VID is != Vcore.

Sorry, my mistake. Vcore, not VID. But I found something strange. Firstly my P4 651 coldbug at -155 C when Vcore is above 1.9V, then coldbug at -165 C when Vcore is 1.85V. Should I think about anything else? like Voltage of NB? or Vtt?

I tried P5Q3-Deluxe with a coldbuggedless E8600 once - had similar issues at -160ish so I'll blame the board

try something else, like P5B-Deluxe / Commando or P5E3-Premium .. your chip looks very promising, especially with P45 chipset you're using not being famous for its cedarmill clocking capabilities

oh, and a standart question - can you provide the batchnumber or a picture of CPU?

The batchnumber of my P4 651 is L733B583. I will try another chipset like P965 or X48, etc. I think I would get higher freq if coldbug below -170C.

Try lower CPU & FSB PLL voltage ( don't know if your mobo has those options and how low it allows you to go, might need hardware mods ).
Those should help you the most with the coldbug.
