Thumbs up Dice E8400+DFI P35

Did a little benching the other day with a DFI UT P35-T2R and a E8400 pretty happy with the results as this chip has more to offer still.
Being held back by ram at the moment and the fact that this board is quite tricky to OC i find.

Tried to change mem divider in bios to lower ram speeds to hit higher clocks but the dividers in bios seemed weird a 1:1 divider gave me lowest ram speeds in bios and in windows.

Anyways now for some pics and results

DFI ftw. Maybe lil more voltage could help to go past 5.

Don't know if I just had a killer cpu, or my p45 board was just the crucial factor, but I ran spi 1m with 5670mhz (1core) once on dice.

What's your BIOS settings? I've ran 3 DFi p45 boards... maybe I can give you some advice

Bin away at work for few weeks But im back mate rig is in peices @ the moment.

Had a chance to run the p35 an E8400 with some OCZ reapers pc9600's i picked up and deffinetly helped the clocks out

Cooled the northbridge this time as well by putting dice directly onto the heatsink wich helped out a little.

As far as bios settings go mainly tinkered with some mem settings and tweaks i got from an old thread @ I4 mem posted ny Eva def helped with stability and was able to bench @ slightly higher mhz than my previous effort.

I've heard of people running this board with 1.7 even 1.8volts through the NB but mine only became stable at 1.6v

Think My E8400 still has some legs yet so my next attemp i will be using a Gigabyte GA-X48T-DQ6 board with some ddr3 and we'll see what happens..
