Default When did Zombie projects first appear?

Very curious question and I figured this would be the best place to get an answer.

When did these projects start popping up in the overclocking world? Did this idea originate from overclockers or was it taken from some other industry and applied here?

Too much risks for non-expiriensed engineers So these things will never go retail in this way.

That line got a chuckle out of me. So Hipro started and TiN followed the idea up with the 4800 6800 Zombie?
