so to be clear, we basically cut the trace that leads to/from VID 6. Then simply "connect" the VID6 pin to the VID7 pin by placing a little solder between them. This is correct?

Yes. This will switch to 1.6-1.3V range for voltages. If you just do that, but not modify lower bits you will get around 1.5Vsome output

does using the e-power board allow you to go colder on the core? Im stuck around -60c :X using basic mods.

mm, no afaik.
-60c is already enough for 1600mhz

so far it takes 1.62v to hit 1574 at -60c
Getting alot of red screens and grey screens :X which is OCP and temperature issue right?

If it set clocks colder then -45c it grey screens.

1 of the 2 cold shutdown mods should be enough ( they're different ways of doing the same thing if I remember correctly ).
