Hey guys, my name is Sandro and I'm a member of the PCGH Extreme Team.

Because of the next Extreme Overclocking Session organized by der8auer, I spend all the day in overclocking my EVGA GTX 680 SC under air to find best clocks... but it was a nightmare

I followed some overclocking threads about the GTX 680 in several forums, but at the end I'm as clever as before.

Stock clcoks are 1059/1552 (boost 1124) - i think u know already - so i used EVGA PrecisionX to set offsetclocks to +60/+400 while TDP @ +140% (modded bios).
Trying 3DMark11 the card runs fine at 1215 boost clock and 3506 Memclocks (~10400 3DMark score).
Raising MHz to +70 ends in driver resetting and the benchmarks aborted.

Ok, next try i used +45MHz offset and again +400 on mem. The result: 1260MHz boostclock and a score of ~10900 points. meh? ok... doesn't make any sense to me, so i raised core clock by another 5MHz to +50 and the boostclock lowers to 1215 again.
Resetting to +45 offset does not give me back the 1260 boostclock, but 10400 score.

I really don't understand the mechanism of this card at all, but i trust in u guys to find a way to stabilize the clocks.

for info: i set tdp to 140%, voltage settings to stock, fan speed to 85%. Temperatures were at ~50-57°C under load.
lowering/raising TDP and changing voltage make the situation more confuse.

Any solutions?
