Well the reason I am trying this is mainly for a couple of super pi runs and maybe some benching, but thats about it. For daily use I am going to use the above settings, but once in a way it would be nice to let em rip...

What kind of voltage are we talking about for a PSC kit?
Some kits need over 1.8V and they are not stable at that.

Raw frequency is not everything, you can actually be faster at DDR3-2200 with tight timings than 2400~2600 with loose. So generally one should not apply excessive voltage for generating a load of wasted clock cycles.

One of my kits here, I have to chill it before it will get to the desktop at DDR3-2600 and even then it needs voltages over 1.8V. YMMV, but something tells me you will have to give up too much to make this work from what you are describing.

Hi,

is there a way to go over 1,92V on M5G?
Vmod? a kind of extreme BIOS?

Thanks!

Im having a problem, board shutdown when running 5ghz superpi32m...and now power button is no longer responsive. Try jumping it from the front panel connectors but no luck. Going to try different chip, and also going to let board sit with battery out for a couple hours. uh oh

Trade you your board for mine, dropped my CPU onto the socket like a dumb ass

well played

I almost did that but caught it at the last second as it was slipping out of my fingers. Now just to figure out why my 3770k + PSC sticks on the MVG keep giving me error 23 when trying to boot at the rated speeds/timings (or via XMP). Best I can do is DDR3-2000 7-11-7-28-1T not the DDR3-2200 they are rated for (although for 2550 out of them when sub zero)

Splave I had that issue with a board as well. Let it sit overnight battery out and it seemed to be ok the next day. Try a different PSU as well.
