Hello.

Just to throw my experience into the mix, (If you read the EVGAs SR-X forums, - I have posted under CyberstormXIII alias there).

Please notice, that some ES chips does not work on most dual motherboards.

For ASUS Z9PE-D8 WS, I have reliable information, that the following is true:
QA91/QA92 - Stepping B0 - works
QAMS/QAMT - Stepping B1 - does NOT work (even if it works in single CPU motherboards)

For your SR-X make sure you set the CPU1 Disable jumper, if you try out only 1 CPU.

From what I have heard, there are some 3820 with a newer stepping that only works on the ASUS Z9PE-D8 WS board, after a BIOS update, but older steppings works fine. Therefore, it might be reasonable, to assume, that the same is true for the SR-X.

I have from others testing, that both 3820, 3930k and 3960x works on SR-X. But if you could post the steppings of the chips that you have tried.

Also, please let me know if you had the CPU1 disable jumper set, and if you have tried with down 1 ram chip.

All the best
Cyberstorm

I have read about "Triple BIOS Support" and "Use 3 seperate profiles" and I am interested if we're talking about three independent chips or two chips with an auto selection (BIOS 1/2/3 vs. BIOS 1/Auto/2). Thanks in advance for an answer!
