Years ago when I was first just starting to think about fast PC's I came across this video on the net. It was about this guy Shamino that I'd never heard of and of him hooking up two refigerator compressors to cool down a cpu.
I'm like "What?" so I downloaded the video.
Started to play it and the noise from the compressors almost drowned out what he was saying. I'm watching and thinking that "this guy is really out there"
Then years later I join Xs and after a while learn that Lardarse is Peter.
I remember thinking at the time that Xs was very lucky to have him as a mod.
Although we haven't met I've spoken with people that know him.
Very special person from what I hear.
Talented beyond all and yet just a "guy"
You folks are very lucky to have him here.

peter holds a special place for me.
he was kind enough to send me and a friend one of his cpu pots. my first ever.
and after Singapore AOCC ( i think it was 2006 or something , which was why we asked to borrow a pot to practise ) we wanted to return it to him. he just said keep it . and that was that. i still have that pot and will never sell it or throw it out... it is blessed somehow haha.. a friend and i managed a 8800gts(512) WR back in the day. with everything on dice & somehow managed it. and with much lower clocks than anyone at the time.. lol. just one of those sessions where everything goes well...

also alot of people dont seem to mention peters home town tech site VR-Zone. back in the day it was the hot spot for all things oc and mods.. coz of peter and his crazy colossus of a cascade and his ever crazy mods and guides.... all the guys at Vr are super nice and the most down to earth ive ever met...

i am also lucky enough to have met peter in person and had dinner with the man along with our Malaysian contingent to the AOCC and also the husband and wife team of speedtime ..

Peace...
Regards
Reggie. C
