Default ASUS M5G + Corsair GTX6, what is Z77 capable of?

Alright so I am not going to go into any crazy detail here, but I have a pair of these Corsair GTX6 single sided sticks. These are totally designed to show off what is possible with memory frequency/timings. They pair nicely with the ASUS Maximus 5 Gene to show what memory clocks Ivy is capable of, so lets take a look.

The Rig
ASUS Maximus 5 Gene
Intel 3570K CPU
Corsair GTX6 with some air and LN2 actions

1300 9-11-11-28 1T, air

1400 9-12-11-28 1T, air

Next up are some subzero results, cold really lets the PSC/BBSE fly on Z77. For that I've pulled out the killer kingpin dominance copper.

1400 7-11-7-28 1T, subzero, good subs

1466 10-12-12-31 1T, subzero, good subs

1490 11-12-12-31 2T, subzero
loosened off the sub-timings a bit to achieve this frequency. You can see the bandwidth hit it takes. If you have a crazy kit you might be able to run these frequencies with tight subtimings and much better bandwidth.

I am a bit limited here by my IMC. I will revisit this again soon with a different IMC and see what is possible in the high frequency stakes. It is highly likely someone will have a much better IMC that is capable of pushing the M5G to 3000-3100+ 32m frequency.
