Default MIVE vs. MVG - my little torture room...

Hi,

just about to finish my first runs on 3770K and not sure if this is all...

P67 MIVE - 3202 Bios - somehow the "xtreme tweaking" option got lost in the latest update...why???
this board pwnz MVG on raw clockspeed all the time and I have more than 12 month "in battle" with it now - nothing can beat "ultra durable" RoC ^_^

Cooling: -80°C cheap-cascade

So the new MVG has a big advantage in 32m an 01 - 05 also good...5.5 "lowclock" challenge anyone?!

01...without tweaking you are lost ^^

So much benching on Ivy and sham keeps pushing me to test ram somehow...I start to hate the new gen due to the heavy workload

regards
Chris

Nice runs. Makes me glad I have an MVG on the way to replace my MIVE.

Speaking of which - Have you had any issues with your MIVE not wanting to boot past DDR3-2000 with the 3770k (With my DDR3-2220 rated PSC sticks I just get an error code 23)? It works just fine with my 2600k but not the 3770k (tried running 3202 and 3208 bios).

The 3208 BIOS has the 'xtreme tweaking' option btw.

Wohooo need to update bios then - thanks for the hint!

last night 2 chips did ddr3-2300 with no issues - 9-11-9-29-100-1T just to be sure.
23 is imc, maybe a real bad one...still 2200+ should be a walk in the park maybe some subtiming. always using some gskill trident or ripjawsx psc kit atm btw.

Thanks, that's what I'm thinking as well (really bad IMC). Will wait for my MVG to come to test and make sure. If that doesn't do it I will see if I can RMA.

50K PPD in F@H is piece of cake even at 25°C+ in the room - just need to figure out how to get my 2nd matrix working on that board -.-

FINALLY LN2

unfortunatly my good CPU died within the first 2 hours and I could just manage some nice 01, AM3 and 05 without tweaking much.

second chip was not so good, specially with HT enabled it seemed to be weak...also IMC didn't liked the fullpot so much. did 1300+ on air but not cold

Wow that is one super chip that you have there. how many have you gone through to find that one?

Also what's with the 1c/1t? I've thought since the 1366 days that chips tend to have weird (deathly) issues only running 1c/1t so most people always run 2c/2t.

killed a better one yesterday at ~1.85V...potential 6.8 on 1/1...did 6.63 on 3 cores.

1 core usually helps booting last multiplier for pifast and pi.
not that good eff but higher overall scores.

need to work on eff (specially ram) now...
