Well I got this board not too long ago. Really like the layout and features, but the board is starting to get on my nerves. Two big things have been bugging me:
1. I've had issues from the beginning with Windows Xp. It has not wanted to boot properly (made sure I was in IDE mode) and today I flashed the bios to 118 only to restart and not be able to boot at all. The system freezes (not crashes) at the loading bar even at stock speeds and settings. 2. I've been doing a bit of sub-zero on my 2500k. This chip rocks and is plenty stable, but in this board, I've continually had POST and boot issues (not XP related). What happens is that when I power the system on, it won't fully POST. It hangs on the same code (can't remember which), but this issue doesn't always occur. The ram, cpu, gpu and power supply all check out. It even occurs when only the cpu, one stick of ram and gpu are plugged in. Every piece works after words, but it is extremely annoying to insulate, get ready to go and then find it won't even POST. Any and all help is appreciated. |

hey chance. If its 69 or AE post codes(with blinking cursor) when going subzero this is something we've seen in the lab and is cpu dependant. It 99% a subzero issue, even 0c is enough on some cpus. Simpy resetting by powering off a few times makes it go away. I never see it on air or water like temps, only subzero.
Were working on this atm and hope to have a permanent fix soon, in the meantime just power on/off to get it to post if you have a sandy that does this when subzero |

The problem hasn't been preset the last two times. I'll post back if I keep having subzero issues. The XP booting is still an issue.

seems like the giga issue...
1. boot stock always, cmos reset 2. change multi, pll-oc enable, find max multi, save this as profile1 3. then oc bclk inside windows? when benching fails....immediately restart..otherwise..it will think about the bios then you'll have to start over...lmao from off..you always start with (1) thats the gigabutt story... |

I'm having a TON of trouble as well with my EVGA P67 FTW and XP. It does the EXACT same thing.
![]() Anyone have any ideas? Or does this board need RMA'd? |

Haha, true. I've got a set of STT Chrome that run 2000 7-7-7-18-1T @ 1.7vdimm. Not even close to 32M stable though. They do run everything else.
![]() Also, today Benny and I was troubleshooting. Changing "Execute Disable Bit" in the bios to disabled allowed him to boot into XP multiple times, but then he changed heatsinks and it wouldn't let him in anymore.

That was the first thing I told him to do. Reset cmos, and start fresh. Still wouldn't boot. :'(
