If you can, boot with the onboard HDMI, then set PCI-E in the BIOS.

its not that obviously. if you can boot with other video cards then its not that. i remember issues with other video cards compatibility espcially ati cards. It seems like a bios issue.

The fact is that both GTX 580 and 9600 GT booted perfectly before I put Epower.
Now they both boot on Rampage 3 Extreme but not on MVG.

Hi guys, newbee here. Great forums and looks like a lot of support for the M5G.

I need some help with memory clocking on the M5G. This is my system specs as of now:

Intel 3570k L204 Batch/L210 Btach
Maximus 5 Gene
Gskill Trident X 2400 CL10 2x4GB kit and Gskill Flares 2000 mhz CL 7-9-7 kit 2x2GB
Asus 6970 stock clocks
Custom water cooled with 1 x 240mm and 1x360mm rads
Antec HCP 850W

Well, my main issue is ram clocking. I am able to run at stock, but not able to reduce timings at 2400 Mhz or raise it from 2400 to 2600 Mhz at lower or same timings and I have gone all the way from CL 10 to CL 14 and from 1.60V to 1.80V. But its a no go. On Batch 204 IB, I used to get error 25 with no post. Now I get error 55 with no post. (PS I may be wrong on the error codes)

Need some help to get these going guys. I also tried a PSC set 2x2GB of Gskill Flares from my older AMD setup. Was able to get to 2400 8-10-8, but moving the ram to 2600 even at 1.85V would not load.

If someone could help me with a step by step method of going about this, I may find that I am doing something wrong. I have tried Samsung profiles as well as raw Mhz profiles.

Using latest bios posted on this thread.

its trial and error. 55 just means its something with the memory. psc need alot of voltage to go from 2400 to 2600. what do you want to accomplish with the high clocks? are you into competitive benching or simply clocking your rams for 24/7 setups?

Well, this is where I am right now, with the second chip that I mentioned. The first one was a hog and demanded a lot more v core for the same clocks. This one is a bit more easy to keep under decent temps.

Well the reason I am trying this is mainly for a couple of super pi runs and maybe some benching, but thats about it. For daily use I am going to use the above settings, but once in a way it would be nice to let em rip...

What kind of voltage are we talking about for a PSC kit?

^do you try loading loose psc profile and then slowly tightening 1 timing at a time? 1 little setting wrong can cause 55
