question for shammy-san
Does motherboard/cpu stability affect VGA hotwire stability and vice versa? Or is it all handled through a seperate system.

On reference card with slim tek9 Im getting CB at -60c lol is this possibru?

1.55v +400 passes at -50c not possible to go higher on this card at that temperature. Dreaded red screen of death, get checker board pixels patern as well when trying over 1525.

Is cold shutdown mod worth a shot? I changed it over to the fatboy pot and -55c idle in win7 causes red screen or checkers. During bench at +415 1.575 for 1540mhzish -50c about 20 seconds in to gt1 of 3dmark11 it freezes volts drop to 1.485 then goes back to desktop drops to 1.25 and gives me red screen or checkers.

You fearless man
1.55V and max clocks on reference PCB card
+400 with what BIOS ?
Different Base Clock & dynamic clock boost tables give different clocks.

Use the OSD to monitor the clocks in realtime.
I'm really curious to see what clocks you're getting now.

well I shorted the resistor above, and get grey screen or checkers if I set clocks at colder then -45c. During bench -60c is the sweet spot. Any colder does not help me gain any speed. It is eating voltage though, 1.62v necessary to go from 1527mhz to 1574mhz. Started getting OCP at around 1.3v Idle if I try to set clocks. (red screen is ocp I assume?)

Since I did the above cold mod, can I still do the 2 shammy ones in the guide? I assume yes but thought I would ask first.

Sham what temps were you working at? Do I seem way off?
