Jody, you wrote "if it holds temp at -35C'ish" in the very last of your post, did you have the pot in the freezer before mounting? Or did you mean 35c?

Prolly 35c straight up without nuttin in the pot shows a good mount.
Very nice work, as we've come to expect from you Jody, always a class act!

Hey, sorry if this has been mentioned but, are there any specific brands of this eraser that are recommded for or against? I am about to start my LS-1 SS back up and want to use this stuff.
Great guide Jody, thanks! |

thanks Mike. as for specific brand, i don't think there are any that are worse or better per se. i like to use Staedler brand because it is a bit firmer and comes off with less effort, but my ball is a mix of many brands now so it all has a nice consistency. i think it is more of a personal thing.

And so it begins. I have the parts needed to do something I have wanted to for a LONG time; the fastest 24/7 stable gaming rig I can build with the parts I have onhand. I just wish I could upgrade the GPUs. I'll begin by using this guide so, thanks again Jody!
Parts List EVGA 657 P55 FTW Intel 860 or 870. (Need to bench them and see which is fastest) Dominator GT memory. Prolly 1600C6 or 2000C7 depending on CPU results. ICE T30 TEC Cooler on the memory Vapo LS-1 SS, Jinu modded. Obsidian 800D case 2-4 SSDs in RAID-0, not sure on P64 or P128 yet. Sapphire HD 4890s in Xfire HX850 PSU |

Jody, I'm curious to see if your thread here takes a spike in hits. I linked it in a build thread I am working at the Corsair forum. Hopefully you guys will see some positive traffic here.

Any tips on where to drill the hole for the temp probe on my F1? I can see that inside the F1 there are holes drilled into the bottom. I'm geussing that i should drill them in between the pot holes where there is more solid mass. The height from the bottom of the pot is more of my concern.
