I LOVE this thread ;]

It's standalone device, yeah.
It's not related to any PC interface, coz it's too damn slooooooow to do something with that.

Take more look into PCB form. Why it is like suriken ?

I will easy guess a bit:

It's powerhugry device, it need 0.4A +12V to operate nicely.

Also one guy among us here almost guessed, but not exact function Take attention to what is printed on PCB.

There is an ntc on it... google tells me it's a current limiter - whatever that tells us about the function. The xs1-chip is for communication, it seems. Could it be an extra module for the EVBot?

It will be in the Pot, and will be used for heating it, to keep an exact temperature .

For example you set -150, and this "device" will warm up until -150 .. So you just need to pour the ln2 .
